Photography has always played a role in my life. My father is a photographer and while I was growing up, he was constantly taking photos. As an adult he gifted me my first camera. I realized quickly that having the camera between myself and my environment separates me from my anxiety; allowing me to connect more authentically with myself and the world around me. Now, I create images utilizing my organic surroundings and interpersonal relationships to produce documentary style photographs. My art is emotionally autobiographical, magnifying my own personal experiences. While building these images the goal is to inspire the viewer to generate a narrative based on their own unique human experience.
